Caption: Ask Sadie. Actual questions from actual readers! Send your questions to asksadie@rudypark.com. Hello handsome Sadie, It's Timona here greeting you from Kiev, Ukraine. Yeah we are in great political turmoil right now, but I will let you in on a secret since we are old friends. Now is the best time for to invest in the Ukraine real estate. In 2005, for inspect, a 71 sq. meter abode sold for $7,500 US Dollars. Today it sell for at only $1,100 US Dollars. Lovely school for to nearby, as well as charming Mall within walking distance with has all the conveniences. Keep this amazing opportunity quiet. I only tell YOU because of that time we made that amazing connection. You friend, Timona. Click here for to house buy. Excellent questions. I get letters like this all the time ever since I publicly announced my email address. It reminds me of the time I hired a 17-year-old nerd to track down a spammer's true IP address, name, birthdate, physical address, and bank account number ... and shipped the spammer two tons of manure purchased with his entire life savings. It cost me a vinyl record, a Mountain Dew and a crate of Cheetos, but it was worth it. Ask Sadie a question (but be careful) at asksadie@rudypark.com.

Caption: Did you say we import our coffee beans from Chernobyl? Isn't that place a nuclear wasteland? That's culturally insensitive. Chernobyl is a beautiful land of glowing trees and three-headed mooses with raccoon tails. The brave and selfless tribe of hard-working grotesque mutants who hunt our coffee beans for us prefers "post-natural wilderness" to "nuclear wasteland." This is disgu -- Wait, what do you mean "hunt" our coffee beans? Don't get all bleeding-heart about it. The beans skittering around and chucking spears is no evidence they're sentient.

Caption: Boss, are you sure I should dump our toxic waste in the creek? Of course, minion. Little known fact … While everyone was obsessed with Trump's inauguration crowd size, he quietly froze all grants and contracts by the Environmental Protection Agency. The township's Department of Monitoring-Toxic-Waste-in-the-Creek lost its funding and had to lay off its inspectors. Why do we even have toxic waste? We're a cafe. No reason. Say, did you know it's .07% cheaper to import coffee beans from Chernobyl?

Caption: This just in: People can get used to anything. Scientists at Tonga Technical Online University have discovered that 81% of Americans become accustomed to horrendous news after being repetitively exposed to it for more than six weeks. Participants in the study were fed with regular updates on ISIS, Ukraine, missing airliners, the measles outbreaks, Bill Cosby and Brian Williams. 100% of participants were initially shocked. By week two, 95% had progressed to being appalled. By week six, a whopping 87% were either bored or had completely forgotten about the story that had outraged them just weeks earlier. Fix your attention span, America! By week 7, 0.01% had either moved to Syria, become pilots, refused to vaccinate their kids, started eating Jell-O pudding pops, or mistakenly "remembered" they were at Gettysburg.

Caption: With all this yammering about Russia, nobody's really asking the right question. Why should we do anything about it if even the Ukrainians aren't willing to fight to hold on to their country. Sure, it'd be certain death. But would anyone "remember the Alamo" of Davy Crockett and my grandmother hadn't fought till their dying breaths for it? The history books are woefully incomplete. Isn't the Alamo where John Wayne died?

Caption: Looks like Vladimir Putin's single-handedly restarting the cold war. Heh-heh … You said "Putin." He's invaded Georgia, he's invaded the Ukraine … He's trying to get the old band back together again. Say "Putin" again. Do you have any idea how much this changes everything, minion? During cold war 1, I was too young to get in on the action. By the time I had cornered the market on nuclear fallout antidote, the cold war was over. The kindergarteners all demanded their lunch money back. Ingrates. I never thought I'd get a second chance, Rudy. Is "Blueberry Radiation-Shielding Muffins" catchy enough? I was twelve before I figured out "iron curtain" wasn't a household chore.

Caption: Two weeks ago … In other news, a local café manager named "Rudy Park" was hospitalized today … … When dozens of enraged Ukrainian visitors mistook him for their deposed president and pummeled him with fried curd cheese fritters … … A Ukrainian delicacy that for some reason was being sold at the cafe as "revenge fritters." The cafe's owner issued the following statement: "To show my thoughts are with Mr. Yanukovych, the fritter and hospital map combo is now half off."

Caption: You've really gotta find a new job. This job's not so bad. To drum up business, Armstrong's making you impersonate the deposed Ukrainian President in hopes of attracting the angry protesters who're searching for him. I'm sure every other job is just as bad. Do you know what they DO to deposed presidents?

Caption: Two weeks ago: Hear ye, all you tweeting, blogging, Facebooking, Instagramming café patrons … There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that deposed Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych is hiding out in this very café. The fact that this café serves Ukrainian delicacies and is right by the airport is just a coincidence. So there's no reason for thousands of hungry - I mean, angry Ukrainians to hop on a plane and come here. Very bad man.
