Caption: Welcome to pet obedience school. We're going to have fun and get these darlings into shape. Obey-Wan-Ken … Before we start, any questions? Obey! When I foment revolution among the pets, do you want to be tarred and feathered or just given a wedgie? The genetic enhancement of pets has made my job much harder. I think wedgie.

Caption: On today's Ask Sadie Show, I, Sadie Cohen, will discuss one topic: Marie Antoinette. Specifically, we'll talk about how, when the peasants of France were dying from bread shortages, she said … Let them eat one-time $1000 bonuses, so they wont notice that the aristocrats have all pocketed Louis XVI's massive tax cuts and are laying off peasants left and right. Pretty sure she's paraphrasing. I feel like cake, for some reason.

Caption: Today on the Ask Sadie Show, we'll be addressing one single topic: "Comeuppance." Specifically, we'll talk about how the tables have finally turned on men who've preyed on women for generations. It reminds me of the last time there was such a dramatic reversal of the social order. The place: France. The year: 1789. Great-great-great-great-great-grandma Sadie had just invented the guillotine. Ironically, she'd invented it as a new way to cut cake.

Caption: Greetings from the alternate universe where America lost the revolution. What was that, now? Oh, I see. You're in one of the universes that hasn't yet discovered inter-universal travel. I shall explain … Please do. America lost. In 1833, Britain freed the slaves, one of whom had a daughter who grew up to invent the transistor 90 years earlier than in your universe. We had desktop computers. A moon colony, and the Benjamin Banneker orbiting telescope had identified over 3,000 extrasolar planets, all by 1947. So when the alien ship crashed at Roswell, we all knew it was real, especially since a crumpet farmer named "Mac" Brazel took a selfie amidst the wreckage and uploaded it to Facebloke. Long story short, using the ship's zero-point-energy transdimensional drive tech. We've developed a booming alternate-universe tourism industry. Anyhow, I'll have tea and shepherd's pie, please. That's Monopoly money. No, that monocled man is King Thurston III, our beloved monarch. Nice try.

Caption: I watched a Mark Blyth video on Youtube called "Global Trumpism." It explained everything. Really? How so? He pointed out how inflation was an unavoidable feature of predatory capitalism and how that led to worldwide Trumpism. And some stuff about Kierkegaard and Mussolini, and debtors' revolts, and the section of all societies in this phase that will swing right unless they're given a genuine left alternative ... I don't remember all the details, but it made a whole lot of sense in his mesmerizing Scottish accent. It was like James Bond, only smart. Were there bikinis?

Caption: SPOILER ALERT! I'm about to tell you the part that really bugged me about "Star Wars." You don't have to say "spoiler alert," minion. It's been a month. Anyone who hasn't seen it yet has not fulfilled their role as a dutiful consumer, and deserves whatever spoilage they will receive. In fact, let me know who they are and I'll enter them into my database. When the corporatist revolution comes, there will be consequences. Um ... never mind.

Caption: Hello, you've reached the Illuminati. At last! We have tried to reach your planet's rulers for the last 18 revolutions of your blue rock. We come bearing gifts. That's nice. You trying to reach Les or Nick? Whoever is the prime overlord of your secret cabal of billionaires ... What? The what of our which now? Is this not the secret cabal of billionaires that controls the world's elected leaders, manipulates the economy, and determines the very fate of all nations? No, friend, we're the psychedelic rock band from Toronto. But we broke up years ago, eh? Apologies. We seem to have dialed the wrong number. Les has some new tracks on Facebook, though. If you like '80s action movie music, give it a go.

Caption: With all this yammering about Russia, nobody's really asking the right question. Why should we do anything about it if even the Ukrainians aren't willing to fight to hold on to their country. Sure, it'd be certain death. But would anyone "remember the Alamo" of Davy Crockett and my grandmother hadn't fought till their dying breaths for it? The history books are woefully incomplete. Isn't the Alamo where John Wayne died?

Caption: What would you like? I'd like a new pickup truck. I'd like them to remake Star Wars prequels and do it right this time. I'd like Prince to get back together with "The Revolution." I mean, what can I get you? A mocha. And remove my skin tags.
