Caption: You're running for health commissioner? When's the election? November. I'm starting to line up support. It's not cheap to run for office these days. I've got to galvanize Candorville's voters. Many of them are feeling pretty disenfranchised. Voting is the man's way of keeping us down. Good talk, Clyde.

Caption: Dear Sadie, Coke or Pepsi? Actual reader question. You're really asking that questions? The answer is so obvious: Coke! Or Pepsi. Definitely Pepsi! What's important in my line of work is not the answer but how strongly you express it. Send questions to asksadiesho@gmail.com

Caption: I've got to make an offering to the cheapskate muse. What's that got to do with me? You understand women. What could I do to bring back my goddess of inspiration? That's nice. What's nice? Goddess of inspiration. You mind if I use that line on this hottie I met when I was trolling for broads at the bus station? This is not helping! No, it is. Don't sell yourself short. HOJ.

Caption: Are you saying I have no control over when I upgrade my devices? In effect. You've got some kind of subconscious internal clock that drives you to regularly buy a new phone, or TV, or video game console. And there's nothing I can do about it? So it would seem. How freeing. Does this revelation come with a new credit line? Go away.

I'll take this brie and merlot and be on my way. Well, my husband recently lost his job. Husband? You'll be fine. Gotta run. Wait, who are you?! R.

Caption: Great news! You set a record holding up the line in the post office? Better. I got my wanted picture in the post office. I'm like an old-time bad guy. It's awesome that at my age, I can still accomplish something of meaning. I wonder if I can bring down the internet. Dare to dream.

Caption: Periodically, Sadie Cohen gets jacked up on caffeine, then goes to the US post office. Once she gets to the counter, she starts chatting and asks endless questions, stopping up the line for hours, frustrating to no end the people behind her. It's her favorite practical joke and, frankly, one of the darkest things the human eye can witness. Enjoy! What's your opinion of the two-day certified mail to Wichita? Move it, lady!

I'm creating the lines. I get to the counter with a stack of complicated questions, then watch the people behind me go nuts with frustration! Bwah-ha-ha-ha!!! One of the best maniacal laughs in the business.

Caption: There's been lots of unexplained shaking and booming noises in the middle of the night - all over the world. Some thing earth's entered a part of space filled with meteors too big to burn up in our atmosphere. Others think governments are building a network of underground bases to save a select few from a coming apocalypse. A lot of people think the world's about to end, Susan. If it were anyone but you, I'd thinking this was a pickup line. For the first time in my life, all my favorite shows got renewed, and now this. It's just my luck.

Caption: I can't believe you're going to sue me, Rudy. What kind of person sues his own friend? I'm not. I dropped the lawsuit, Armstrong. I re-checked the programming in the cryptocurrency I created, and it has a flaw I'd overlooked. I forgot to put a dash on command line 457,000 so as soon as 457,000 people traded the currency, the entire currency collapsed. Sorry I accused you of hacking my computer and stealing all my money, boss. So you're saying you're sorry you willfully and maliciously slandered me? Wait ... are you recording me on that computer?

Caption: I'm thinking of becoming a personal shopper. What's that? It's where you buy things for people who are too busy to go shopping themselves. I mean, I love to shop. I love it more than almost anything. They say if you love your work, you never work a day in your life. HOJ. To each his own, I guess. I love everything about shopping. From the seductive open sign, to the supple checkout lines.

Caption: You've been in there for quite a while, little buddy. Everything all right? Go away, Randy! Randy's rule #896: A confident person doesn't get tinkle-shy just because there's a long line waiting for him or her to finish. Still here. Go away!!!

Caption: Hey, little buddy. How's it going in there? You fall in? Occupied! I know it's occupied, little buddy. We all know. It's been occupied for 30 minutes. There's a long line out here. I said "occupied!" When a person says "occupied" from in here, that's supposed to buy another 10 minutes at least. "Occupied" is not a magic word, little buddy. Inhabited! That neither. We're all still here.

Caption: Hi, Rudy. What the -- ?! Don't rush me, Uncle Mort. Today's Special. Latte + 1hr web. $12.50. What'd I say? You asked how last night's date went. You wanted to know If we hit it off … If we had a goodnight kiss … if there'll be a second date … If we went for long walks on the beach ... If we're getting serious ... if I've met her parents ... if I've thought of how to propose ... if she's said yes ... if we've moved in together ... if we've discussed giving you grand-nieces and nephews ... All I said was "Hi, Rudy." Family can always red between the lines. What the -- ?! I am not looking too thin! What the -- ?! Take that back, I am not getting wrinkles.

Caption: How many people in history do you think have died fighting over lines someone else drew on a map? Occupiers have often forced people who are polar opposites to live in one artificial "country." Iraq … Ethiopia … Yugoslavia … the United States … but then if we only lived in countries made up of people who agree with us, earth would have 7 billion countries. I disagree.

Caption: Boss, remember when you said you'd consider giving me a raise if I were to show initiative? No. I used the café's line of credit to buy ads on a national broadcast. You did what? If the ad increases business, do I get a raise? Maybe. What channel's it on? Fox? NBC? Today's "Ask Sadie Radio Show" is brought to you by the worst excuse for a cafe in America.

Caption: Do you remember your early childhood, Randy? Of course, little buddy. I come from a long line of Randies who have photographic memories. It's an evolutionary trait that enabled early Randies to survive despite being connoisseurs of the female form. "Evolution"? Doesn't that mean some of them didn't make it? Overly long stares lead to nothing but trouble.

Caption: Is it just me, or have there been a lot of earthquakes lately? I haven't noticed. How could you not notice earthquakes? We've had about a dozen of them in the last few months, usually at night. That would explain it: Randy "The Rock" Taylor comes from a long line of heavy sleepers. Light-sleeping is for the indecisive. In 1819, Washington Irving based a story on my ancestor Rufus "The Rock" Taylor. But he had to change the title from "Rip Van Rockle" when Rufus demanded royalties. I wake up seventeen times a night.
