Caption: The cleansing process isn't working. For some reason, I can't seem to purge myself of the urge to hit on chicks. Why bother? I do it once a year for a week so that I can prove I have some control over my life and urges and so I can see new things in the world, besides just hot gals. For instance, did you know we have a bicameral democracy? Duh. Learned during cleansing '86, the year after discovering low-fat cheese. Of equivalent efficacy.

Caption: It's brilliant. Customers can have the opportunity to learn the secrets of making espresso drinks. We'll charge them double if they want to make their own, and, get this … I'd rather not … triple if they want the privilege of cleaning up their own cups in the sink! I'm back! You're back.

How did you learn to ask such incredibly great questions? How do you feel, I mean, really feel? Oh, you're a super listener? Let's not make this about me. R.

Caption: Given enough time, audiences know what to expect, Rosencrantz. And with expectation comes acceptance. Give them crudty, and that is what they will accept. Give them erudition, and they will rise to accept that. Feed them a diet of lies, and they will learn to crave them. I still would prefer to eat my sandwiches before you've chewed them. Give it time.

Caption: This is the Ask Sadie Show. You're on caller. What's your problem? Global warming. It's cold outside, and … stop it right there. Open a textbook. Learn the difference between weather and climate, you nincompoop! I can personally attest to our planet having gotten warmer over the last century. How old are you?

Caption: I'm panicking. You know how the Andromeda galaxy is supposed to collide with our Milky Way in billions of years? What are you talking about, little buddy? I just learned that there's an awful lot of ionized hydrogen from Andromeda's halo that's already touching the ionized hydrogen from our galaxy's halo. I'm not following. It's like when you're in your 30s and your hand brushes against a girl's had for the very first time. HOJ. I see. Why didn't you just say ... wait ... your thirties? ... and you panic because you're still years away from being ready.

Caption: Our secret midlife crisis fling is still on track for June of 2018. Almost. Almost? That's right. You're not exactly doing your part. Where are the tattoos I designed for you? Where are the six-pack abs? If you'd been following the meal and workout plan I sent you, you'd have six-pack abs by now. you were serious about -- Have you even started the Rosetta Stone French lessons I gifted you? The pillow talk is supposed to be in French. Can't we just use Google translate? Beep beep. Unacceptable. Don't be the weak link on the committee, Rudy.

Caption: You know why most political comic strips are leftist? Wait … is that your own observation, or did you overhear it somewhere? I'm shocked, Randy. Haven't you heard of morphic resonance? If a few members of a species learn something, then pretty soon it's inbred knowledge in the rest of the species. As proof: I don't even recall reading about morphic resonance. I just know about it. Obviously because someone else read about it. So I think you'll agree, first-person observation is highly overrated. I'm pretty sure you meant "inborn" knowledge, not "inbred." See? You're "pretty sure" because morphic resonance. More proof.

Caption: Ask Sadieâ„¢. Dear Irresponsible Sadie: Last week you said riots are the natural response to police brutality. How dare you excuse looting and property damage and violence!!!! By excusing riots, you are contributing to the cycle violence. You have a public platform and with that comes responsibility. You, Sadie, have A LOT to learn!!! -Disappointed in Delaware. You need to learn the difference between an explanation and "excuse," you condescending, insufferable Troglodyte! I mean ... thank you for writing. Ask Sadie at asksadie@rudypark.com.

Caption: After eating here for years, I've come down with abdominal pain and fatigue. Oh yeah? Also, irritability, sleep problems, headaches, loss of appetite, inexplicable weight loss, vomiting and constipation. Also, it took me three whole hours to figure out my new Apple watch, so chalk me up for learning difficulties. You're not by chance trying to get in one last lawsuit before Trump deregulates everything, are you? Heavens, no. Just feeling a little lead-poisony is all I'm saying.

Caption: What was life really like in the Middle Ages, Sadie? A lot like today. There were a tiny handful of filthy rich feudal lords, and a huge mass of poor peasants who were too ignorant to see what was going on. What? No, I didn't really want to learn anything, I was just calling you "old." Let's try that again ... How did the sky over your house look after than asteroid wiped out all the dinosaurs? It looked brown. A lot like today.

Caption: "Ask Sadie Advice Hour," what's your problem?! I've been wondering something for a while now: What's the point of learning math if we've got calculators? Excellent question. It reminds me of the time Grandmother Cohen was helping design the Statue of Liberty. Instead of a torch, Lady Liberty was supposed to be wielding a handbag. And instead of a tablet, she was supposed to be holding a big globe just asking to get smacked. They said all the calculations showed it was too top-heavy. But I don't buy it! Um ... ok.

Caption: Think I'll be a more effective alpha male if I learn to play pool? That's one of those things you always see an alpha male do: Stand around a pool hall polishing his stick and racking up the balls … sizing up his shot, like he's secretly a geometric wizard who's about to make the whole world line up the way he wants it to with just one whack. Or maybe I should take up darts, where I myself become an extension of the missile I'm launching. Any sport in the bar family works.

Caption: Today's alpha-lesson is called "man-talk, woman-talk, other-talk." Whatever your gender, it's important to be seen huddling with members of the same gender. Others of that same gender who witness your huddle automatically see you as port of the local branch of you gender's ruling council. The tribal huddle. Learn it. Use it.

Caption: What's your question for "Ask Sadie"? What's with that senseless riot in Baltimore? What do you mean? America has a long history of self-destructive riots in response to police brutality. It's senseless to call it senseless. A city is like a human body. If you feed a body an awful diet of abuse and unaccountable cops, that body's eventually going to have a massive coronary. In short: Learn your history! And eat oatmeal! Oat ... What? What are you talking about?

Caption: I overheard you telling Rudy it would be wrong to use Microsoft's hololens to project the faces of beautiful people onto homely people. That's right. Hypothetically speaking, how would you, as a customer, feel about a café using hololens to project a fresh, healthy glow onto week-old pastries? Hypothetically, the trick would be learning to sneaking the goggles onto the faces of unsuspecting patrons. Is that why Rudy's army-crawling toward me on the floor with a pair of glasses? Hypothetically.

Caption: Today's MAN LESSON is "The Art of Promising." I'm ready. Part one: Never … promise … anything. Wait … what do you mean? Pretend you're the lady. Ask me to promise you something. Ok … (ahem) … Promise me you won't ever even LOOK at another woman? A man would have to be CRAZY to look at another woman when he COULD be looking at the most beautiful woman in the world. And I'm not crazy. Notice, if you will, not only is there a complete absence of a promise ... ... there are also at least four iron-clad loopholes built in. Can you identify them? This is worse than math to me.
