We have done as you commanded. We won't go anywhere near the polar region. Please accept our apology. Please?? Oh. Wait ... my bad. I thought I'd be pressing 2. If you're a normal human who mistakenly pressed 1, please stay right where you are. Can't we just pretend I pressed 2.

Caption: Y'know ... if there were a human civilization 13,000 years ago that was more advanced than we are now, it would explain everything. How so, Lemont? Sorry, no time to tell you right now. It'd take more time than we have. Well, just summarize it. Can't do that. I'll be just getting to the amazing part, and you'll check your watch and say Sorry, gotta go. In the time it took you to say all that, you could've told me. Do we have time to set up a time when we'll have time?

Caption: I don’t know, man, there's just something people forget about the internet. What? Nobody's as anonymous as they think they are. And When they insult total strangers … When they call them "naïve morons" just 'cause they disagree … … When they tell other human beings they're wastes of space on this Earth ... When they say things like "I'd call you an uneducated baboon, but baboons smell better ... " ... They forget that before the so-called anonymity of the web, saying such things to other human beings usually led to consequences. How'd you get my number? That's not important right now, Gunther.

Caption: Yesterday I was joking around with Clyde, and I called his momma a "horse." Right away, I felt guilty. Women are human beings, not barn animals. So my joke was kind of sexist. It's not your fault, Lemont. You can't help it. ALL men are pigs.

Caption: Lamont interviews Syrian dictator Bashir Al-Assad for his blog. Hummusville Syrian Cuisine. Has it occurred to you that your people just aren't that into you? I mean, if you have to slaughter people in order to lead them, maybe they're trying to tell you it's over. But instead of moving on, you keep calling and texting and bombing. Doesn't that feel a little, pathetic? A little. Have you thought of looking for other countries to lead?

Caption: What were you thinking about when you went to bed on 9/11? I was praying to wake up the next day and it'd all just be a dream. What were you thinking about when you went to be on 9/11? I was hoping we'd rise to the occasion and honor the dead, the survivors, and the heroes ... by failing to rebuild the Twin Towers, by curtailing our own civil liberties, by calling each other "un-American," by torturing prisoners, mocking the French, invading the wrong country, and having our airports inspect kids' and old people's underpants. I like to have realistic hopes. I don't think sarcasm's allowed on 9/11 day.

Caption: Why are we such a violent people? America's a land of assissinations. Mexico's a land of mutilations. China's a land of executions, and so on … Why can't we see our political differences the same way we see a difference over pizza toppings? Ok, ok, I'm sorry I yelled at you for ordering anchovies. There's a cancer on the soul of humanity.

But China still reigns supreme in the "Denying People Their Rights" event. Well who would compete with harvesting prisoners' organs? China big pimpin'.

Locking people in Guantanamo without access to lawyers! Uh oh… America stumbles! The Supreme Court rules they actually do have rights. WAAIT! THE PENTAGON SAYS EVEN IF A PRISONER'S FOUND "NOT GUILTY," THEY MIGHT NOT RELEASE HIM! WHAT A RECOVERY!

The U.S. was once a top contender, until teams like Turkey, Japan and Germany overtoo- WAIT! The U.S. is gaining! 1 million may be dead in Iraq! FREE TIBET. Letting that torch run down Main Street would make us ALL complicit in the brutality. That's why we're gonna beat the @#$% out of whoever's carrying it. FREE TIBET!

Caption: Meanwhile, at a plantation formerly known as Mount Misery… Ahh … Does Donald Rumsfeld enjoy an ice cold lemonade? One could say that. Is it unfair for folks to blame him for Iraq going wrong, just 'cause he was defense secretary? Maybe. Is it wrong for folks to blame him for all the so-called "torture" and false imprisonment he oversaw? Who knows? Is he glad he resigned? Absolutely. Is retirement boring him out of his cotton-picking mind? You bet. Will you PLEASE stop that?!

I don't hear bleeding-heart liberals proposing a better way to get people to tell us whatever they think we want to hear whether it's true or not. What?

Caption: Maverick republican senators forced Bush to compromise on his torture bill! Huh? They were really vague. They said he can't torture people, but they didn't define "torture." For the most past they left if up to the president to decide what is and isn't torture. How can you call that a "compromise"? Hello? Let's talk about Tom Cruise.

The Continental Congress hath decreed that the King cannot do whatsoever he wanteth, whenever he wanteth, even if he sayeth the empire is engaged in an endless war.
