Caption: What happened, bruh? When we was kids, most we had to worry about was someone had a knife. Didn't nobody bring guns to preschool an' terrorize little kids, Big L. We even had massive gang wars on campus in high school, an' not one person got shot. Ah … the good old days. In my day, we had to wait 'til we was walkin' home to get shot at.

Caption: I read your new article about Jazmine Barnes getting shot. What'd you think? I think you were right about gang violence and about fatherless homes and about uneducated, hopeless young men. But you were dead wrong about gun control, and about taxpayer-funded daycare and youth camps, and about pouring tax dollars into poor school districts. So ... you like pointing out problems, but you hate pointing out solutions. Is solutions the name of your Marxist unicorn?

Caption: Hah! You race-baiters got owned! I read your article last week about that little black girl who got shot. How embarrassing for you. When the police said the suspect was a white man in a truck, you all wanted to talk about racism. But it turned out the real shooter was a couple of black guys. Now you're talking about guns and gangs, but not one mention of racism. It's normal to chance your focus when you get new facts. Ha! You flip-flopper. Bet you wish you hadn't made such a big deal out of a little girl getting shot.

Caption: What's your favorite poem, Clyde? I dig the classics, Big L. "I said a hip … hop … the hippie the hippie … to the hip hip ho, and you don't stop, a rock it to the bang bang boogie … to the rhythm of the boogie, beat." True story: That's one of the all-time best poems about man's inhumanity toward man.

Caption: Hey, Clyde, did you hear? Donald Trump's supporters beat and kicked a "Black Lives Matter" activist, and Trump condoned it. It's not quite "Brownshirt" level stuff yet, but it's certainly unamerican. Whachoo talking' bout, Big L? Civil war … Jim Crow … Mexican-American War ... Indians ... out-of-control cops ... gangs ... domesticated violence ... Beatin' down people you ain't like is as American as it get, bruh. I'm talking about Constitution-America, not America-America.

Caption: 'Member that riot in Baltimore couple weeks back? That all the media talked about. As usual, they missed the real story. People was so moved by what happened to Freddie Gray that the Crips an' the Bloods called a truce an' joined together in peace. The Crips an' the Bloods, dawg. That be like dogs and cats holdin' hands. "Paws," Clyde. No need. I'm done. What? What?

Caption: It's so easy to just say they're all nuts, but what's YOUR brilliant solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? Remember the east coast-west coast rap war from the 90's? Remember how Biggie an' Tupac mommas hugged each other an' told both sides to cut that #$%&@ out? It's ok to admit you don't have a solution, Clyde. Ain't nothin' a million mommas huggin' it out can't fix.

Caption: How they gonna blame President Obama for what goin' on in the Middle East? They ain't nothin' no President in history ever done that ever changed the Middle East for the better. Blamin' our own President for them bein' crazy make no sense. I blame out Presidents for not brokering peace between 84th Street an' 85th Street.

Caption: Yesterday some guy tried to tell me not all shootings at schools are "school shootings." He even said gang-related shootings don't count. What, that surprise you? What country you think you livin' in, Big L? They been shootings in "inner city" schools since the eighties. But America only started caring when white suburban kids started killing too. That's kind of cynical, Clyde. Columbine was the "Elvis" of school shootings.

Caption: The other day, you quoted a study that said we'd had one school shooting a week since Newtown. That meant 74 shootings. YOU LIED!!! If you leave out every shooting that was suicide, gang- or robbery-related, accidental, or didn’t result in any injuries ... there were only fifteen shootings! So ... if you disregard most of the school shootings, there weren't very many school shootings at all. Next time do your research!

Caption: Where's this bus? My son's waiting for me. Where he waitin' at? What do you mean? Where do you think he's waiting? Could be anyplace. He's two, Clyde. Where do you suppose a two-year-old would be waiting for his father? Corner of 47th … Corner of 51st ... An alley ... where he usually assemble his crew? You were an awful child, Clyde.

Caption: Why have you come to Therapy, Mr. Lapew? "Mr. Lapierre." Wayne Lapierre, of the NRA. Dr. Noodle. I see. And what brings you to therapy? I'm afraid I may be paranoid, doctor. Last month I said on TV that the reason we need more guns is because Americans will SURELY find ourselves in a post-apocalyptic "hellish world ... " ... Filled with hurricanes, tornadoes, gangs and criminals, euro-style debt riots, and looters who'd murder you over a box of Pampers. I can see why you think you may be paranoid. So you agree. The thought that nobody's taking me seriously is all in my head. What? What?

Caption: I thought I knew the evil of gangs. Drive-bys, carjackings, garish bandanas … But y'know what? Americans don't know what hard-core gangs are. They're MUCH worse here in Mexico. Hmph. What would you know about gangs? I counseled gangbangers at Folsom Prison for eight years. I own the "New Jack City" DVD. It's not a competition.

Caption: Yo, you like rap? Not really. I mean, I used to when rap meant "Sugarhill Gang," "Public Enemy" and "KRS-One." Rap used to be positive, used to be about uplifting the community. It didn't usually glorify bad things or make women look like floozies. What makes you think I ain't positive, #$%^&? That's not a gun and a booth on your CD cover?
