Not I'm an 8-year-old scoring 32 points a night and wondering where my @#$% hot chocolate is. Still sweet as all get up. Make it happen, runt.

Caption: Can you feel the excitement building? The election is more than a month off. Nonsense!! It's not more than a month off? Yes, technically, in the sense that time is ordinarily measured. But it's so close I can taste it. You can taste the general election? Like chocolate mousse! The season of the political junkie is upon us.

Caption: Triple hot chocolate, quadruple helping of whipped cream. Whoa, everything okay? Woman trouble, barkeep. She betrayed me. The worst kind. Lay it on me. We've been together two years. We were about to get a house and move in together and she came clean. She ... I can't even say it. Cheating? No. I'm talking complete betrayal. She was already married? She had a secret family? She'd been with John Edwards? You're not listening. This was sheer craziness. All these years ... What? Tell me. She'd been lying about her credit score!!! I knew there was something wrong when she looked away when we talked about FICA. The house was a pipe dream. But she's not your last credit score.

Caption: What can I get you? Coffee? Tea? Sandwich? The mackerel mocha sounds lovely. What's in it? The usual. Chocolate. Soy milk. Mackerel. Yes, but is the mackerel farm-raised or from the sea? Ocean. Atlantic? Pacific? Indian? Arctic? Antarctic? I'm not sure. Oh. Ok ... well what's the mackerel's mercury content? Negligible, I'm sure. Ok. Was it exposed to any chlorine? Or copper sulphate? Or malathion? Was it treated with kindness? Was it read stories and sung to before bedtime? Yes. Never mind, it sounds iffy. Just give me the usual aspartame-trans fat medley.

Caption: We'll have the Christmas feast for one. She means for two. He'll have a small bowl of cold oatmeal. No I won't! I'll have that Christmas feast! The turkey … the stuffing, the yams, the pumpkin pie a la mode with whipped cream, the extra-thick, brandy-infused eggnogg, the cranberry sauce, the succulent ham ... the reindeer jerky, the frosted sugar cookies with butter flakes, and the noose-shaped chocolate cupcakes with cheese filling. He'll have half a saltine cracker. You know what the doctors said, dear. They said your suffering is good for my blood pressure. I'll take my feast to go! Good move.

Caption: Gimme a hot chocolate. On the rocks. Straight. Lady troubles? And how. Old Mr. Mort told me if I wanted to appeal to the ladies, I should watch some old black and white movies and do what those guys do. So I started jogging downstairs sideways like Cary Grant. I said "see!" after every sentence like James Cagney. I ran in place and yelled "whoop-whoop-whoop!" like Curly. All the girls loved it. But now I have four playdates scheduled at the same time! Not at all where I thought that was going.

I'll have one of those. But can you substitute macadamia nut for the pecan? That'll take some work, but it's doable. Thank you. and can you substitute turkey tears for the praline? Turkey tears sound good. And can you substitute pureed bagel for the mocha? Pureed bagel sounds lovely. I see where this is going. And can you substitute ginseng for macadamia nut, ostrich-swear for turkey tears, ginseng for praline, and pumpernickel for the bagel?

Caption: I've never been in here before. What's your best drink? That'd be the Gambler's Mocha. Sounds interesting. What's in it? Oh … a little of this, a little of that. For all you know, it's a smooth blend of hand-mixed Amedei Porcelana dark chocolate from Tuscany ... and Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee beans, hand-picked by sherpas 5,000 feet above sea level precisely at sunset ... topped with a light whip of frozen Arctic sea foam, and black diamond cream from Dubai ... for all you know ... Or it could be day-old sludge made with tap water from Flint? I thought you said you'd never been here before. Siri, where's the nearest Starbucks?

Caption: When do you think they invented peanut allergies and gluten allergies? "Invented"? As a child, every kid I knew snorted half a kilo of peanut butter and jelly on a daily basis. And every kid I knew had an IV that pumped chocolate chip cookies straight into their veins. Nobody ever had a "gluten" problem ... And no, they don't have IVs like that, I was speaking metaphorically. Don't get my hopes up like that.

Caption: Give me a double-tall white chocolate mocha, extra whip. Put it on my tab. Ok. Just leave your credit card with me and I'll charge you before you leave. What? That's not how it works. I'm supposed to just say "put it on my tab," and then I pay for it at some indeterminate point in the future. And then you're supposed to hint about my growing tab but never ask me to pay it because we've become such good pals. Real life isn't like tv.

Caption: White chocolate mocha, please. Just the drink? Or the combo? What's in the combo? You get the white chocolate mocha, plus a ham sandwich, plus a bag of chips, for $17. Seems pricey. Of course. That's why I only recommend our premium combos to people who can afford them. One look at you and I could tell you're a man of means. You walk with such a swagger - such regal elegance. I wasn't wrong about you, was I? Give me two combos. Just two? Very. Bad. Man.

Caption: My mom said I can't come here anymore. What? Why not, Billy? She said she sends me here to get hot chocolate, not to get bad relationship advice. What "bad" advice? All my advice is solid gold. You told me to call the IRS with an anonymous tip about Andrea Wheaton's father avoiding taxes, so next time he tells her I'm a bad influence he'll look like a hypocrite. That didn't work?

Caption: I'm having a Thanksgiving get-together, Mort, but my date's bringing her grandma. Want to come along to keep her company? I'm avoiding Thanksgiving this year. I hear there's an awful turkey-borne illness going around. Best to play it safe. Turkey? Who said anything about turkey? I'm serving the patented "Randy 'The Rock' Taylor's Sexy Holiday Meal." A dozen oysters, chocolate chunks, red wine, and Marvin Gaye playing softly in the background. Be there at 4:30. Sorry, that's past my bedtime.

Turkey tears sound good. And can you substitute pureed bagel for the mocha? Pureed bagel sounds lovely. I see where this is going. Caption: Well, I talked to my parents. I explained to them that I understood our cat Magus had died. I told my folks they don't have to tiptoe around the idea of death. I know that Magus' body stopped working because she was old, and now she's in a better place. Probably like Disneyland, but with lots of pillows and tuna. Right, Rudy? Darn straight, little man. Hot chocolate on the house.

Caption: Hey barkeep, double hot chocolate, double whipped cream. Sure. Everything okay? It's our family cat. Her body stopped working. I don't understand. Her body stopped working? She died. But my parents are afraid to use that word with me, so they keep coming up with the strangest explanations. At one point, they told be she went to Wichita and wasn't coming back. I'm lost. Isn't airport travel terrible these days?

Caption: Good morning, Boss. What're you going to do about it, Park? Are you just going to complain, or are you going to come up with an actionable plan. Complainers never do, Park, and doers never complain. I wasn't actually complaining. Our patrons buy 65% less cocoa on sunny days.

Caption: Hot chocolate, straight. … Make it a double. Uh-oh. Something wrong, young man? I'm all ears. It's my parents. What about them? They told me I'm going to have a little brother. You're not happy about that? I'm not happy that they didn’t ask me first. As a bored member of this family, I expect to be consulted on all executive decisions. Wait ... what? Yeah. It's my right. I heard that bored members are supposed to be consulted. We're also supposed to get compensation packages, private jets and weekends in Vegas. Probably to make up for us being bored in the first place. I'm not sure either of us knows what you're talking about, kid.
