Caption: Suspicious Minds. Global warming deniers are quick to cast doubt on the motives of environmental groups. They're just using global warming as a scare tactic to line their pockets! Here's how they might explain other causes: Soup kitchen volunteers are just in it for the free soup! Mothers Against Drunk Driving just want access to parties at the M.A.D.D. Mansion! These Peace Corps people are only after free mosquito netting and exotic toilets! NPR pledgers don't really like listening to NPR. They just want the tote bag! Mother Teresa was just looking after her legacy, that selfish bitch!

Caption: Give and Let Die. What are you up to? Crowdfunding healthcare. But I can't decide which projects to back. Survivalstarter. Why you should help me live. $14,580 of $150,000 goal. 124 backers. This one has a compelling storyline and a strong disease brand. Malignant Cowpox is hot right now. But this other one has an amusing video on the absurdity of life and randomness of tragedy. I might throw a few bucks her way. Now, this person has a boring illness and only three backers. I'm not getting on that loser train. Wouldn't it just be simpler if we had Universal Health Care? Look, this one is offering tote bags!

Caption: It was in the early '70s at a liberal arts college. I was a 21 year-old senior working long hours on a thesis project. At 11am on a Sunday morning, I went to get some lunch at the student union. I was exhausted and badly needed a bath. I set my bag down on a table and went up to order a Dr. Pepper and french fries. I went back to the table with my drink while the fries were cooking, and saw this guy, a transfer student, sitting there. Hey, I took a seat here. How you doin'? Though he had been on campus for only a semester, Carl already had a reputation as an arrogant jerk. My friends and I felt uneasy around him. (This is a long form cartoon.
