Costs for Rights and Material - Books If you would like to receive a price quote to license one or more of our cartoons for a book, please contact us. And... Please include as much of the following information as you can: - Book Title; - Author; - Publisher; - Print run; - Distribution area - North American only or worldwide; - Placement of cartoon - cover, chapter heading or within text; - Size of cartoon on page - full page, 1/2 page, 1/4 page; - Ancillaries, if any; - Cartoonist Group image number(s); and - Date by which material is need. We'll respond to your e-mail with a cost and after your approval of the cost, the cartoon(s) and an invoice will be e-mailed to you along with attribution language for the cartoon(s). The costs below are guidelines that are based on:

- One-time, non-exclusive usage of the image(s);

- Delivery of cartoon(s) and invoice to you via e-mail within four business days of the price being accepted by you; and

- Payment being received by the Cartoonist Group within 45 days of the invoice date.

Volume Discounts - 5 - 14 images - 10% discount/image, 15+ images - 15% discount/image. Ancillary Use (e.g., teacher's guide for a textbook, CDs, password protected web site) - a good guideline is +25%/ancillary usage. Reuse/Pickup Rates (for subsequent editions to rights granted previously) - a good guideline is 75% of original usage. Rush Services (Normal time frame: 4 business days from approval of price quote) - As able, +10% for images delivered within one - three days of price being agreed to by you.
